2009 Graduating Students
I really enjoy speaking with young people and teaching them about money and yesterday's group of Somerville House senior students were no exception. www.somerville.qld.edu.au
Among the topics we spoke about were the 3 steps to good money management, understanding banks and why credit reports are important.
There was lots of nodding heads and gasps of surprise which were all positive feedback that the students were learning something new and that this was something important they could take with them on their next journey.
The best feedback I received was the young lady who approached me afterwards to let me know that "You really got me thinking about my money in a different way". That's what I do best, talk about money in a language you understand.
Thanks girls for your time yesterday, it was great fun and good luck with the next step in your journey.
Feedback from the 2009 Yr 12 Co-ordinator at Somerville House:
'Our Year 12s have now flown the coup, and I wanted to thank you again for the great presentation you made to our Year 12s last week. Many students expressed their interest and even some parents mentioned that their girls had come home and mentioned how much they had learned.
So thank you!'
Thanks for the feedback Mrs Travers, I'm thrilled the girls took their new money knowledge home and discussed it with their parents.
