Valentine's Day

I'll admit I'm not the biggest fan of Valentine's Day. Prices go up for almost anything that can be slightly linked to this celebration and service at restaurants can go out the window for one of their busiest nights of the year.

With all of this fuss and the pressure to do something special, I have found that over the years my husband is quite happy to do things a little differently to make the most of the day and to create something special that doesn't need to cost a lot.

Some of our previous Valentine Day celebrations include:

Going to our favourite Italian restaurant the Thursday night closest to Valentine's Day for great food and great service without all the crowds.

Enjoying a romantic picnic at one of the various watering holes on Mount Tamborine or one of the shady parks at Mt Glorious.

If you're feeling slightly more romantic then try another of our favourite valentines day ideas, a sunset picnic at the beach when the crowds have all gone home for the day.
